Board members of the Confucius Institute welcomed at the EIB
On September 23, 2013, the EIB had the honor to welcome the board members of the newly founded Confucius Institute at the University of Basel (CIUB) from the ECNU (East China Normal University Shanghai), one of the leading universities in China.
Together with Qi Zhu Ammann and ZHOU Xiaoxia, as representatives from CIUB, Professors TONG Shijun (Chairman of University Council of ECNU), WU Yongyi (Dean of International College of Chinese Studies) and ZHANG Jianmin (Director of Institute of Global Chinese Language Teacher Education) informed themselves about the work of the Institute for European Global Studies. They expressed their interest in a long-term research cooperation between ECNU and the University of Basel.
