Cross-Rhine Convention: "Europe Between Crises and Opportunities"

Cross-Rhine Convention

On June 19 and June 20, 2 to 6 pm, Sciences Po Forum (Strasbourg) and the Fachgruppe European Global Studies (Basel) are happy to launch the first edition of the Cross-Rhine Convention: Conferences organized by student groups in Political Science within Eucor - The European Campus.

Europe has had to face many crises since the beginning of the century. But these crises could become opportunities if the continent manages to seize them. At the conference, each afternoon two topics will be discussed with guests who are distinguished experts on matters of European concern and working to face current challenges.

On Saturday, June 19:

  • 2:00 pm: Climate Change and Green Deal (with Dr. Katharina Franziska Braig)
  • 4:30 pm: Rethink our Schengen borders (with Dr. Elspeth Guild and Dr. Jorrit Rijmpa)

On Sunday, June 20:

  • 2:00 pm: The Future of Cultures in a Globalized World (with Mr. Bernard Poulelaouen and Mr. Thomas Pizer)
  • 4:30 pm: Europe of Healthcare (with Ms. Roberta Savli)

The event will be broadcast via Facebook Live on the Sciences Po Forum Facebook page.

The Fachgruppe European Global Studies represents the interests of the students of European Global Studies towards the university and the institute. As such, the Fachgruppe participates in the Interfaculty Commission and liaises between the students on the one hand and the program coordinator and the lecturers on the other.

Sciences Po Forum is a student association which promotes the debate of ideas and reflection at Science Po Strasbourg and beyond.

Eucor - The European Campus is the cross-border grouping of five universities in France, Germany and Switzerland: Basel, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Haute-Alsace and Strasbourg. It offers students the possibility to study at any of the partner universities.
