Continuing Education

The Institute for European Global Studies has offered interdisciplinary programs in advanced studies for more than 20 years. These programs are specifically designed for professionals who wish to make the next step in their career by updating their knowledge about Europe and learn to understand its challenges in a global setting.

We offer five individual courses on different aspects of European and global governance, each leading to a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). All courses consist of an online preparatory phase and two weeks of intensive onsite training in Basel, taught by university professors and leading experts in politics, law and economy from across Europe. The Master of Advanced Studies in European and Global Governance (MAS) is awarded to those who successfully complete all five CAS and a Master's thesis.
