Teresa Pullano Participates in Conference at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence
"Transnational Class, the Struggle for Hegemony and the Dilemma of Political Subjectivity beyond National Identity" was the title of a paper Teresa Pullano presented at a conference on "The Politics of Fragmented Identities." The conference was organized by the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence and took place on 14-15 November 2019.
The conference "Class without Consciousness: The Politics of Fragmented Identities" aimed to provide an academic forum for discussing the dynamic, contradictory, and often hidden politics of class identity in an age of rising inequality and opaque class structures.
Teresa Pullano is Assistant Professor of European Global Studies at the Institute for European Global Studies of the University of Basel. She specializes in interpretations of the European Union as a process of statehood and territorial restructuring at the continental level. Furthermore, she is interested in the European Union's processes and norms of transnational governance from the perspective of their connections to theories and experiences coming from the “outside” of Europe.
