Christelle Genoud is Researcher at King's College London. She currently conducts a project on human rights diplomacy and China entitled "Holding China accountable for violations in Xinjiang: The geographic representativity strategy and its limits", which is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. She is also Senior Lecturer in international relations at Lausanne University. Previously, she participated in launching the new Master on Human Rights and Sustainability at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. She was also Research Associate at King’s College London, working on the project "Academic freedom, globalized scholarship and the rise of authoritarian China". Christelle worked as Human Security Advisor at the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing, where she was in charge of the human rights portfolio, as well as Human Rights Expert for the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). She holds a PhD on finance and human rights from the University of Lausanne and a Master in Asian Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
