What is the value of comparative methods? A new edited volume seeks to facilitate debate amongst scholars, bringing together perspectives from law, the humanities, and the social sciences. Ralph Weber contributed a chapter on “Comparative Philosophy and Comparison”. At a virtual book launch in January 2022, Weber and other contributors spoke about their interest in the project and provided insights into their contributions.

“Comparative Methods in Law, Humanities and Social Sciences” was edited by the legal scholars Maurice Adams (Tilburg University) and Mark Van Hoecke (Queen Mary University of London and Ghent University). It includes contributions that explore comparative methodologies in a great variety of disciplines, including law, sociology, literary studies, or anthropology.
