Graduation Ceremony of the Institute for European Global Studies
On Thursday, 18 September 2014, the graduate students of the MA European Studies and the MAS in European Integration received their diplomas. Prof. Dr. Axel Michaels from the University of Heidelberg was the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony.
The graduation ceremony of the Insitute for European Global Studies was held on Thursday, 18 September 2014, at 5.15pm at the Alte Aula of the Natural History Museum of Basel. After an opening address by the Institute’s director Prof. Dr. Madeleine Herren Oesch, Prof. Dr. Axel Michaels presented his keynote speech on Nepal during the 19th century. The speech was followed by a musical interlude.
In the second part of the ceremony, the graduate students of the MA European Studies and MAS in European Integration received their diplomas. After some closing remarks by Prof. Herren-Oesch, the visitors of the ceremony were invited to stay for a rich reception in the museum lounge.
