Sebastian Meyer Speaks on the Informalisation of EU Asylum and Migration Law
Sebastian Meyer has chaired a session on the «Flexibilisation of State Authority» at the fourth congress of the German language sociology of law associations. His presentation dealt with the question of how informal instruments like the EU-Turkey Agreement relate to the EU legal order. The conference with the title «Abolishing the Law?» took place from September 13-15, 2018, at the University of Basel. It addressed various developments that imply the abolition of the legal order and/or rights.
Sebastian Meyer is a Research Assistant for European Law at the Institute for European Global Studies. His research explores the impact of EU institutional law on EU migration and asylum policy, the Economic and Monetary Union as well as EU environmental policy.
