Trevor Burnard is Wilberforce Professor of Slavery and Emancipation and Director of the Wilberforce Institute at the University of Hull.
Giorgio Riello is Professor of Early Modern Global History at the Department of History and Civilization of the European University Institute (EUI) in Florenz.
The event is organized by the Institute for European Global Studies in cooperation with the Department of History.
