I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Global European Studies (IGES) as the recipient of the prestigious ESKAS or Swiss Excellence Scholarship and a research associate within the network of the Centre of African Studies (ZASB) at the University of Basel. I am an associate researcher at the African Institute for Epistemology and the Philosophy of Science (ACEPS) at the University of Johannesburg and also a past research fellow at the Centre for Humanities Research (CHR) and the University of the Western Cape. My research specialism falls within a broad range of philosophical topics which include African philosophy, African epistemology, comparative philosophy, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, the history of ideas, social epistemology, and the philosophy of artefacts. I am also a research fellow with the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) as part of the first cohort of their African Fellowships for Research in Indigenous and Alternative Knowledges (AFRIAK). My most recent work explores knowledge theorisation, production and erasure in marginalised epistemic contexts, through artefacts, the African history of ideas and Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
