Katekisama Doctorate

Many PhD projects conduct research on aspects of globality, but few do so through a global research setting. The challenges of the 21st century require a generation of young researchers trained to critically explore and analyze today’s global realities. Through the Katekisama PhD, the University of Basel offers a unique opportunity for transnational and interdisciplinary PhD training which, as a pilot project, enables doctoral students to pursue their doctoral studies as part of an international and globally connected research community.
