Christa Tobler Speaks About General Principles in the Field of Non-Discrimination

On June 29-30 2018, a book workshop on the subject of general principles was held in Leicester, UK. This is in the context of a Research Handbook on "Constructing Legal Orders in Europe: The General Principles of EU Law" to be published by Edward Elgar in 2019. Christa Tobler is writing the chapter on General Principles in the field of non-discrimination, more specifically Directives 2000/43 and 2000/78 and gave a presentation on this subject (including notably the important recent judgment in Case C-414/16 Egenberger).

Christa Tobler is Professor of European Law at the Institute for European Global Studies. Her research interests include the legal relations between Switzerland and the European Union as well as issues of equality before the law and discriminations.
