Ralph Weber explains that during his tenure as the premier of the People's Republic of China, Li Keqiang emphasized the economy and international trade, but was not a political reformer. He concluded the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Switzerland in 2014, which, however, was under discussion since 2007.

Ralph Weber is Associate Professor of European Global Studies at the Institute for European Global Studies. He specializes in Political Theory, Chinese Politics, and modern Confucianism.
