Certificate of Advanced Studies in Multinational Corporations

The role of multinational corporations within European and Global Governance is the topic of a new Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) offered by the Institute for European Global Studies. The subject is one of five modules of the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in European and Global Governance. Interested university graduates as well as professionals are invited to apply.

The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Multinational Corporations starts from a legal point of view and introduces students to European competition law and international contract law. Through the perspective of the economic sciences, topics such as international banking, the basics of international trade theory, strategic management and, as a case study, the pharmaceutical industry will be dealt with. Those topics are complemented by a social-scientific engagement with the significance of multinational corporations and their social relevance.

In total, the Institute for European Global Studies offers five Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Global Society, European Integration, Multinational Corporations, International Organizations and Europe 2050. In the autumn and spring terms 2014/15, the CAS in Global Society and European Integration will be provided, followed by the other modules. All courses are taught in English language by renowned scholars and professionals. They can be completed extra-occupationally depending on one’s needs and capacities. Usually, the courses take place on Fridays and Saturdays. Interested persons can enroll in one module only and acquire a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). Students completing all five modules and deepening their expertise in a Master thesis are awarded the title Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in European and Global Governance.
