Colloquium on Social Inequality and Justice

On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 12.30pm, Dr. Cornelius Torp spoke about “Social Inequality and Justice. Age and Old Age Provision in Great Britain and Germany since World War II”. The talk is part of the Colloquium Series “Global Aging” and will be held in German.

Dr. Cornelius Torp is lecturer at the Department of History at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. His research interests include the history of globalization, transnational history, nineteenth and twentieth century German and British history, economic history and social sciences methodologies.

During the spring semester 2014, the Institute for European Global Studies organizes the colloquium series on the topic of “Global Aging”. During those interdisciplinary research colloquia, scholars of the Institute and other institutions present their research to the scientific community. The colloquia take place on a Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm at the seminar room of the institute.
