Global Europe – Basel Papers on Europe in a Global Perspective
"Global Europe – Basel Papers on Europe in a Global Perspective" ist ein neues wissenschaftliches E-Journal, herausgegeben vom Europainstitut der Universität Basel. Ab Herbst 2014 führt es das Konzept der "Basler Schriften zur Europäischen Integration" fort und bereichert es um eine globale Perspektive auf Europa.
"Global Europe – Basel Papers on Europe in a Global Perspective" provides insights into the excellent research of graduates, as well as young and senior scientists analyzing the global implications of Europe and the European Union. The academic journal is published by the Institute for European Global Studies at the University of Basel. The publication appears in four issues per year and is available both in PDF and Flash format on the website www.europa.unibas.ch/global-europe. In addition, readers can subscribe to it by sending an e-mail to europa@clutterunibas.ch.
The opening edition will be published in mid-September 2014. Authors from Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the United States explore the importance and far-reaching potential of Global Studies in the 21st century and discuss how Europe's global entanglements can be analyzed, taught and communicated.
Already in August 2014, the Basel Papers have changed their title and appeared in the new design. In her contribution "The Common Security and Defense Policy in Crisis?" (pdf), Tanja Klein raises the question, whether national role conceptions and sovereignty pose a challenge to European agency.
