Photo Competition: “European Global Challenges and Chances”
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Institute for European Global Studies launches a photo competition focusing on “European Global Challenges and Chances”. The best images will be exhibited at our institute and shared on social media.
We are looking for photos from your everyday life that visualize the challenges we all face in the globally connected world.Which difficulties or injustices move you personally – and in which situations do you experience “European Global Challenges” as opportunities and sources of enrichment?
The winners of the competition will be announced on 11 November 2023 as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Institute for European Global Studies. The following prizes are to be won:
1st prize: Voucher from Bider & Tanner Basel worth 200 CHF
2nd prize: Voucher from kult.kino Basel worth 50 CHF
3rd to 5th prize: University of Basel swimming bag
Photos should be submitted with an appropriate title or some explanatory thoughts to europa@unibas.ch*- Submission deadline is Sunday, 22 October 2023.
* Minimum photo size for poster print: 3508 x 4967 pixel / 150dpi for format A1; JPG and PNG; employees of the University of Basel may not participate in the competition; prizes cannot be redeemed in cash; there is no right of appeal. Participants grant the Institute for European Global Studies of the University of Basel permission to use the images submitted to the competition freely and without charge (e.g. on social media, in the newsletter, etc.).
