3rd Katekisama-Workshop at the University of Basel
Scholars from the Universities of Basel, Bonn and the University of Ghana participated in the 3rd Katekisama-Workshop that took place on 9 June 2023. The workshop was held as a hybrid event at the Institute for European Global Studies, with representatives of all three universities present in Basel.
Topics that were discussed were experiences and lessons from teaching in the context of the Katekisama program, the potential for collaborative research on migration in Africa or the question of globality as a problem of epistemology.
Katekisama workshops are organized on a regular basis, bringing together junior and senior scholars from the participating institutions.
The Katekisama program is a new model of academic collaboration between the Universities of Basel (Switzerland), Bonn (Germany) and the University of Ghana. The program offers young scholars and senior researchers an original and dynamic platform of interdisciplinary, cooperative education and research that enables them to critically explore and analyze today’s global realities. The scholars and PhD students benefit from the excellence, experience and global expertise the institutions in the social sciences and humanities, and from their new and exclusive forms of academic mobility.
