The Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) at O.P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat, India, is a new cooperation partner of the Institute for European Global Studies at the University of Basel. The two institutions will start their cooperation with the development of student exchange programs.

Representatives from both universities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding enacting the cooperation. This cooperation intends to allow students from the Institute for European Global Studies to spend one or two semesters at the JSIA during their Master's degree program. In return, JSIA students can come to Basel for a similar duration. There will be no study fees at the host university for the exchange students.

The O.P. Jindal Global University was founded in 2009 with the mission to promote globally oriented learning in the social sciences. It is situated on a 80-acre state-of-the-art residential campus in the National Capital Region of Delhi. Providing inter-disciplinary education on global policy, the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) offers a B.A. programme in Global Affairs as well as an M.A. in Diplomacy, Law and Business.

The Institute for European Global Studies cooperates with renowned institutions around the world. Further important international partners include the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" at Heidelberg University, the East China Normal University of Shanghai and the Tsinghua University School of Law Beijing.
