Public Lecture with Andrew Sartori

Why is the history of economic thought a problem of global history? This question was at the center of a public lecture by Andrew Sartori, Professor of History at New York University. The event took place on May 16, 2019, at 2:30pm, at the Institute for European Global Studies.

Andrew Sartori is Professor of History at New York University. He obtained his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2003 and has since published several books. His latest, Liberalism in Empire, was published with the University of California Press in 2014. He is co-editor of the Cambridge Texts in the History of Political Thought with Quentin Skinner.

Andrew Sartori’s research focuses on modern South Asia as well as the history of capitalism and economic thought.

The public lecture with Andrew Sartori took place on May 16, 2019, at 2:30pm, in the seminar room of the Institute for European Global Studies (Gellertstrasse 27, Basel).
