Frank Uekötter is Professor of History of Technology and Environmental History at Ruhr University Bochum. His research focuses on modern environmental and technological history, with particular interests in nuclear energy, agriculture and food production, and the global history of monoculture. Since 2021, he has led an ERC-funded project on the global history of monoculture.
