On 8 June 2023, Prof. Mary B. Setrana, Director of the Centre for Migration Studies (University of Ghana), visited the Institute for European Global Studies.

Prof. Setrana contributed to another iteration of the Institute’s Salon Discussion – a format for informal exchange between invited guests and members and students of the Institute. In this iteration of the Salon Discussion, Prof. Setrana presented her own research and introduced the work of the Centre for Migration Studies at the University of Ghana. Barbara von Rütte, postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for European Global Studies, took the opportunity to outline the Institute’s research profile and her own work on migration. This was followed by a general Q&A and discussion.

The Institute for European Global Studies cooperates with the College of Humanities, University of Ghana. Based on a mutual exchange agreement, students from the two institutions can study abroad. Moreover, the University of Ghana is also part of the Katekisama Program.
