Corey Ross and Ralph Weber (Basel), "Kick-off: Global Logistics and the Question of Deglobalization"

Kick-off event of the lecture series "Global Logistics and the Question of Deglobalization".

Corey Ross is Director of the Institute and Professor for European Global Studies. His expertise focuses on the history of imperialism and global environmental history in the 19th and 20th centuries. His research on the socio-environmental history of Europe’s relations with the rest of the world builds on interdisciplinarity, investigates the global, transimperial and transnational circulation of ideas, goods and people, and aims to highlight perspectives that are relevant to major present-day and future challenges.

Ralph Weber is Professor for European Global Studies at the Institute for European Global Studies, Academic Director of its Graduate Program and a Research Councilor at the Swiss National Science Foundation. He specializes on methodological and conceptual aspects of cross-linguistic and cross-cultural research, the global history of political ideas and Chinese politics, particularly the Chinese party-state and its transgressive political activities abroad
