Prof. em. Dr. Madeleine Herren-Oesch is former Director of the Institute for European Global Studies and Emerita Professor of Modern History. Her expertise focuses in particular on the history of the 19th and 20th centuries, while her research explores connections to the present world in its complex, global dimensions.
