Working Lunch with Barbara von Rütte (Institute for European Global Studies)

«Loyalty and bloodlines: Switzerland's practice of denationalization»

Barbara von Rütte is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for European Global Studies. She obtained a doctorate from the University of Bern. Later, she worked at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen and the Freien Universität Berlin and as a consultant for the Council of Europe. Furthermore, she is a member of the Federal Commission on Migration. Her research foci are citizenship law and theory, in particular statelessness, legal personhood and belonging, migration law and international human rights.
